Teacher and Students
Apart from a pool of MOE registered teachers who are already trained by NIE, our
in-house teachers picked up even more challenging skills from their overseas trainers
and students. From Asia to Europe and the USA, from the Northern hemisphere to the
Southern hemisphere, they moved and learned through the experiences of life.
The American trainers gave our teachers lessons on how Science experiments are conducted
with different apparatus and materials. Our teachers were also immersed in the elementary
schools of the USA.
In Europe, our teachers walked up the leaning tower of Pisa and retold how Galileo
was supposed to have also walked up, conducting experiments from the top. The statue
of Leonardo da Vinci in Milan inspired our students to want to learn more about
Leonardo and his flying machines.
Teachers' Training is all about helping the teachers learn more and see more round
the world so that they can be more competent in their jobs back home.
